Taxes
Las Vegas has no personal Income tax. There is no state income
tax, inheritance, gift or estate taxes.
The Clark County Assessor's Office determines the taxable value
of each parcel of land ?improved or unimproved. This value is multiplied by 35%
to acquire the assessed value of the property.
Property taxes are figured by multiplying the assessed value by the tax
rate, which for the 1998/1999 tax year was an average of $2.98 per $100 of
assessed value.
Payments are made quarterly and due as follows:
- 1st Quarter: 3rd Monday of August
- 2nd Quarter: 1st Monday of October
- 3rd Quarter: 1st Monday of January
- 4th Quarter: 1st Monday of March
